About Us

Ron Tomchin is the president and founder of RPB Advisors, Inc. His dream was an early retirement to Florida. At the age of fifty, he left a successful business in New York and retired to Royal Palm Beach. Ron was surprised when two of his major clients in New York convinced him to stay on as a consultant. He could work from Florida and travel to New York two or three times each year. With family still in New York, the idea of these paid business trips allowing him to visit family and friends closed the deal.

Systems Design & Programming Corp. was established in March of 1993 in a small spare room in Elaine and Ron Tomchin’s new retirement home. In just a few months, the small “office” was bursting at the seams with a number of computers, boxes full of software, phone system, fax machine and file cabinets. It seemed like a shame to see all this equipment sit idle between consulting assignments from a few distant clients, so Ron placed a small classified advertisement in a local newspaper. The results were unexpected.

Royal Palm Beach was the perfect location for Ron to establish his new business. There was a strong demand in the growing Western Communities for his services. Systems Design was the first computer and Internet related business to be established here. His early clients included many local businesses as well as the Village of Royal Palm Beach.

After three years of continuous growth, the business could no longer operate in its small and overcrowded space with no room for expansion or employees. In March of 1996, Ron moved to a larger space with room to grow his business. In July of 1997, Ron established RPB.net Internet Services, splitting his growing business into two companies, each with a different focus.

His family now lives close by. One daughter and her family lives in Coral Springs and the other in Royal Palm Beach. Elaine and Ron love having their grandchildren close by. Ron has no plans to retire again.

RPB Advisors, Inc. was established in April of 2006. Ron’s focus with RPB Advisors, Inc., is to help small businesses grow and prosper. His forty years hands on experience, involvement in the community, and unique network of professionals places him in a unique position to help you and your business. Systems Design & Programming Corp. and RPB.net Internet Services were sold in December of 2006 so that Ron could devote all of his efforts to RPB Advisors, Inc.

Ron attributes his success to providing caring and personal services that fit his clients’ needs rather than forcing them to adjust to a standard business model that might not be best for them. He is actively involved in the Royal Palm Beach Rotary Club, the Western Communities Business Associates and the Palms West Chamber of Commerce where he is Vice President of Technology and is on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
